Pregabalin: Pregabalin (lyrica) is prescribed for chronic pain conditions and neuropathy. Not necessarily, it will cause the same side effects than Gabapentin (neurontin) and if there are no relief with other agents, it is worthy to start a trial at low dose, and observe the response.

Maybe not: Gabapentin and lyrica are similar, but different drugs. The effects and side effects of one vs the other vary in different people. Start slow, and pay attention. Medications are one way of controlling nerve pain. You may be able to decrease need for meds by addressing other issues. That includes nutrient status, stress or emotional trauma that may have accompanied the injury/illness.
