I'm on gabapentin due to bad nerve damage. i want try lyrica (pregabalin). will my doctor keep me on both meds or do i have to pick one?

Have to pick one: They are both relatives of each other with similar modes of action - therefore it would not help to be on both. You may however tolerate one better than the other. Other meds to try include Cymbalta (duloxetine) or Elavil - these could be combined with gabapentin. Hope this helps.
