Comments: What is the reason for your leg burning? Do you have a small fibre neuropathy, a spinal cord or brain problem?? Maybe you could respond to oxcarbazine, Savella, (milnacipran) Butrans patch, or local compounded pain creme containing Ketamine, etc.

Burning leg pain: There are several causes of burning leg and foot pain and the treatments are different depending on the cause. Peripheral neuropathy is a nerve problem that is often treated with medication. Athlete's foot can also cause foot pain. Circulation problems can also cause leg and foot pain. Your primary care doctor can help you determine what the cause of your pain is and then choose a treatment.

Warmth, Zostrix (capsaicin): You can use cream made from chili peppers called Zostrix that is over the counter. Capsaicin and heat will help. Just avoid your eyes when using capsaicin cream. Heat with thick warm socks and a small space heater by the bedside are helpful. Exercise to increase blood flow to your feet and legs. Some think B-vitamin complex and alpha lipoic acid supplements might help.Cold lasers used, too.

What is the cause?: What is the cause for your bilateral burning? Are you a diabetic? Do you have peripheral neuropathy? Those meds that you listed are the standard meds for painful peripheral neuropathy. If you haven't already, go get a nerve test (EMG) to determine if this is true peripheral neuropathy. Bilateral nerve pain is usually neuropathy, and there are a multitude of causes other than diabetes.
