Can't answer: You need to talk to your doctor. Your child may be at high risk for aspiration (inhalation of stomach juices) which can cause lung problems. But, one usually does not get a lung biopsy in these cases.

Pathology report: The reason for the biopsy may have been to determine the underlying cause of her lung disease and respiratory difficulty. I would suggest asking for a copy of the pathology report so that you can have the exact diagnosis. In addition, asking about the cultures that were sent will provide more information.
