Good analgesic: Tramadol is one of the only non-narcotic pain "killers" on the market. It is good for mild to moderate pain but is fairly short acting, clinically providing pain reduction for 2-4 hours, on average. It comes in an er (extended release) form for patients with chronic daily pain. Ask your doctor for advise if this agent is right for you.
