Eat Less Move More: Weight gain is primarily a function of calories consumed versus calories burned. Certain medications can cause changes in the way the body metabolizes the calories, but the same principle applies. When taking certain medications one must closely monitor caloric intake and exercise levels making adjustments to avoid weight gain. Using a food journal to record all intake can be an eye opener!
