UTI not related .: You can have UTI even if you are not on medications . Usually before starting on medications, your pcp does a batteries of examination which include ekg, chest x-ray, a complete metabolic panel, tsh, t4, CBC and urinalysis as a baseline. Depending on what medications you are put on, there are also tests that need to be done to make sure you are responding to the medications and their effects on you.
