Do you think i should be worried about my heartburn?

No, but...: At your age if you've had heartburn for a few years and/or take antacids or other acid blockers on a regular basis you should consider an evaluation to rule out any pre-cancerous changes (barrett's esophagus) that can develop silently. Good luck!

Over the long run: heartburn can contribute to other health problems. Complications from GERD could include development of esophagitis, or possible a peptic (esophageal) stricture. Barrett's esophagus can sometimes lead to esophageal cancer.
