See your surgeon.: There is a normal adjustment period following gerd surgery where your body gets used to the new valve created between your stomach and esophagus. This may manifest itself as bloating following meals. I am unclear if this is the throbbing you are describing but I am certain that your surgeon would want to know what symptoms you are experiencing.
