Lifting weights: I'll say this and get a lot of flack but overtraining is a myth. That being said, to train so you don't hurt yourself is a different matter. Start exercise u're unfamiliar w/ by lifting lightweights. The goal to build muscle requires 3 phases: getting the movement, preparing the tendons, and then finally building muscle. Check ego and lift safely, strength builds quickly if you do it properly.
