Try birth control: Ovaries are supposed to make cysts (follicles-that contain an egg) every month. Sometimes the cysts can grow too large or bleed when they open, causing pain. An easy way to treat this without surgery is to use birth control pills which suppress the ovaries and should help keep them from making cysts.
