Ovarian Cysts: Hemorrhagic ovarian cysts can develop after uterine removal, or they can represent foci of endometriosis or merely retained corpora lutein cysts that become necrotic and bleed into them. Either way, the cysts don't usually burst, but they should definitely be evaluated by your gynecologist immediately, because they can be serious or even be harboring an ovarian tumor. See your gynecologist soon.
