Foreign body: Not necessarily. And the fact that you have pus coming out of the foot shows that there is an infectious process. I would recommend evaluation by a podiatrist asap. If you can't be seen, go to the er. You need someone to look at the foot, get the metal out, place you on antibiotics and make sure your tetanus status is up to date.
