Infection?: When you say you just got glass taken out of sons foot do you mean 5 minutes ago or in the last 2-3 days? If your son had a laceration on the foot due to glass a few days ago, had the glass removed and now a few days later has pus coming from the wound then I would worry about an infection. Please get it evaluated right away

Pus from wound: Pus from wound is never a good thing. There may still be other shards of glass left behind causing an infection. Best to take your son to ER or urgent care for evaluation & antibiotics.

No: Pus in a wound is never normal. Drainage from a wound after removal of a foreign body suggests infection or residual foreign body in the wound. A medical exam is needed.
