Hit it hard man!: This would be a great time for you to get really hard-core about gym and fitness. Skinny is good -- look at brad pitt at your age (picture). Protein alone won't build muscle, but you will get muscle mass from resistance training, creatine & if your doctor is okay an electronic muscle stim unit. A lean hard-gainer with definition looks & feels better than any other guy.

More carbohydrate: You don't need a lot of protein to build muscle and most people eat more than they need (about 1-1.5 gram/kilo of lean body mass). Make sure you are eating plenty of healthy fats and try increasing your carbohydrates. Most importantly eat natural foods, not workout supplements or processed foods.
