Talk to the doc: Why are you decreasing the dose on your own. If you have side effects with the medication, tell your doctor and he/she can address it. Hyperthyroidism is a dangerous condition. It needs to be treated correctly. If you have problem with your current physician, go see another one for a second opinion but it is a bad idea to decrease tapazole (methimazole) on your own.
