A member asked:

Is it all right to take methimazole tablet (10 mg) thrice a day and multivitamine for thyroid disorder?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: I assume you have an overactive (hyperthyroid) thyroid. Methimazole is a long acting medication that typically is taken once or twice a day. The total dose of 30 mg daily may be appropriate, especially early after diagnosis. The multivitamin is probably of no benefit, but it won't hurt unless it contains high amounts of iodine.
