There are many possible etiologies to bloody stools but usually it is due to an ulcer. A stomach ulcer could cause the dark blood. You need to follow up with GI and get scoped-you likely need an upper and lower endoscopy to diagnose what the issue is so it can be treated. If you have an ulcer, medication will be given to treat it. Good luck!
