Bun and creatinine levels are in normal range but bun/creatinine ratio was high at 26.4 on a ref range of 7-21.7. what could be causing this elevation? egfr is at 117. having severe fatigue and tachycardia. cardiac issues ruled out already?

With a normal GFR your kidney function is fine. An elevated BUN can be caused by many things. Reduce your protein intake and have the test repeated in a few weeks. If still high pl see your doc. good luck

BUN/Creatinine ratio is 27. 7-mos prior, it was 16 and always in normal ranges. The BUN-LC is 13 (normal) and my Creatinine is .48 (low). eGFR is also normal. Is this concerning? What are some causes? Can this be temporary?
