Usually with a C.dif infection, there is diarrhea. But, she should be treated for C.dif if she has symptoms. The treatment is typically oral Vancomycin, sometimes Flagyl is used. She should see a doctor and she may need to be seen by a GI doctor to have this treated. Good luck to her!

I normally am constipated but in the last week I have experienced a lot of gas With a mucus clear to pinkish in color along with bowel movements That are large pebble size covered in mucus. Some lower abdomen discomfort too?
2-3x/day for 2 days: excruciating, sharp, stabbing pain in lower left abdomen and rectum, relieved by bowel movement, passing gas or walking. Colonoscopy 1 yr ago was normal. No nausea/vomiting/fever/blood in stool. Could this be gastritis or IBS?
Notice small amount of blood on stool, twice now, exactly 1 month apart. No pain other than slight burning sensation briefly during bowel movement. And mucus in stool for almost a year. I have no insurance no doctor. please I need help?
