Unlikely: The most important consideration for you is whether your current bowel habits represent a change from your normal routine. This would potentially make your description of BMs more concerning. It is not altogether unusual to occasionally see undigested food & streaks of blood, & your Hb is reassuringly normal. If remain concerned about your family hx, reasonable to discuss with gastroenterologist

What causes hemoglobin and hematocrit to be low but MCV levels, Iron, and ferritin levels are normal. Been having this problem for 8mths No blood in stool. Guaiac test was normal. Bowel changes mostly soft stool w/ mucus. Could this be colon cancer?
