I had an endoscopy done today. i fasted properly and followed doctors orders for no food after midnight. on my result photos, a small amount of food was still in my stomach for some reason. im worried. am i at risk for aspiration pneumonia?

"Asperation pneumonia" can occur when general anesthesia is used in surgical procedures or endoscopy, but it is unlikely in the in the situation described, and general anesthesia , when used, is usually accompanies by endotracheal tubes which prevent reflux into the lungs.
