A member asked:

I killed a mosquito between my thumb and index finger. it splashed blood. is there a chance that i would contract hiv from a mosquito being squished and splashing blood on my fingers? should i be worried and get tested for hiv because of this?

Zero risk; HIV has never been known to be transmitted by mosquitoes or by contact with blood in the environment. In addition, it is likely the blood in the mosquito was your own. You really needn't worry about this.
