For a living kidney donor eval, what does it mean when your right kidney has a lower volume (129 ml) and a longer time to peak (6.8 mins - renal split fx test) compared to your left kidney( 173 ml and 3.8 mins)? but all other tests are normal?

The right renal artery is not completely normal so the total blood inside the right kidney is only about 2/3 of the left. The final result should tell you the split function between the right & left kidney. By ultrasound, I think the right kidney should be smaller than the left kidney. If the donor is accepted, the right kidney will be selected because donor has to keep the better kidney.

One kidney is slightly smaller and lower function. A difference of more than 5% is considered significant. The transplant team will take that into consideration before selection. Good luck

40yo Caucasian male, blood pressure at 130/90, urine test seems ok. Low bone mineral density, blood tests for bone and kidney health were normal, except for low calcitriol 15pg/ml and PTH at 70pg/ml (then 40pg/ml after two weeks). Any ideas?
