Maybe: The gender of the donor is one (of many)factors that is important in terms of who would be the better donor. Male kidneys tend to be larger than female kidneys and therefore are usually better over the long run. However other donor factors such as age, overall medical health, kidney anatomy, and blood type may be far more important as to who is the "better" kidney donor.
