I am taking doxycyline 100mg for sti and drank 2 cups of coffee an hour after taking my first dose. i drank another cup of coffee the next morning an hour after my 3rd dose and found out online that caffiene may affect the medication. is this true?

It is more that caffeine can irritate your stomach and so can doxycycline because both of them are very acidic. Therefore some people need to avoid caffeine because they cannot tolerate taking both of them.
