Colon cancer is rarely the cause of rectal bleeding at your age so you should not worry much in the mean time. You will need an anoscopy or sigmoidoscopy for the diagnosis of rectal bleeding and internal hemorrhoids are probably the most common cause, especially you had a baby recently. Good luck.
