Is aspirin effective in preventing dvt? i've heard it's not as effective preventing clots in the veins versus the blood in the arteries.

Some effect: but it mainly depends on clinical history. It's never used for that in high risk patients (previous history of clots; bedridden, etc.). It isn't very reliable at it.

Aspirin: Aspirin is an a drug to prevent platelet plugs which is common in arterial disease
Vein clots are related to stagnation in the column of flow in the vein,aspirin may have some benefit but use of support or compression stocking is more beneficial
