I had hardware removal surgery on my ankle from a fracture years ago. i am moving around afterward. i was given aspirin 325mg to take twice a day for to prevent blood clots. do i need to take it twice a day? for how long do i need to take it?

Generally Aspirin given for anti coag. prophylaxis is given in low dosage. It is best you call the prescriber for the reason and duration.
