My doctor prescribed Diclofenac for knee pain after knee surgery. They repaired a torn meniscus, but I still have pain in my MCL. This has been going on for more than a year. Is it safe to keep taking Diclofenac indefinitely?

Injured knee dec 2013 X-rays and MRI of April 2014. PT until September, different doctor said torn acl and meniscus, did surgery to repair after months of Pt still in pain. Did steroid shot in May 2015. Now there is a grinding feeling in knee ?
Regarding my knee injury. After observing the MRI scan, doctors said my ACL has partially Torn, PCL completely torn and meniscus injured. So does it required surgery or can heal by time. I don't want to go for a surgery, is that possible?
My Knee got twisted. MRI says "patchy tear at posterior horn of medial meniscus, shape and contour preserved. Grade II chondromalacia of patella. Grade II MCL". As per doc, I'm resting now. could someone explain more on this? anything to be worried?
