Is tamsulosin supposed to reduce nighttime frequent urination? it actually feels like the opposite (dad wakes up ~every 20mins, disrupting his sleep). 0.4mg for 4yrs but can he stop it now? is there an alternative? urologist not helpful?

There are many other reasons for night time frequency which have to investigated. If Urologist not helpful pl find another- there are lots. Have him avoid tea coffee, fluids at night in the meantime Hope your dad does well
