I am urinating frequently during day between 6-10 ounces and 4 to 5 times at night between 10 -13 ounces. dr ordered tamsulosin 0.4mg to reduce the numerous times by relaxing the prostate for more flow. why do i want more flow than i already do?

This is a normal condition at you age. Allowing more flow, will empty your bladder whenever you urinate, reducing the amount of urine left in your bladder. Now with little urine left in your bladder you won't have to urinate that often.

tamsulosin helps with better not more flow.. It is best you see a Urologist to find the real cause of your night time frequency. In the meantime reduce fluids after 6pm. good luck
