Can you tell me in what cases epididmytis required surgery? i had epididmytis pain got imporved but its been 4 month i still have mild swelling and discomfort while prolong standing or sitting its totally ok while laying down doc said it will get ok?

There is a good chance your doc is right. post epidid. some pweople get these symptoms which go away in time. Wear a good support underwear and local mild heat/ ibuprofen as needed. Surgery is required only if there is a local abscess (collection of pus) which causes fever, swelling and a lot of pain. You dont have it. If not better in a few months see a Urologist Good luck
