Nonspecific : It depends on whether or not you had the operation or not. I would suggest calling the doctor that you already know. It doesn't sound like something specific, but your doctor can help explain it i'm sure.

See a surgeon: Groin hernias are the result of weakness of the abdominal wall. More common in men. Usually have a buldge/pain in groin. Can have pain radiate to testicle as well. Isolated pain in the testicle without other findings would concern me it could be related to a problem with testicle. Best to see the doc who fixes hernias to make sure you really have one.
