After a permethrin cream treatment is it wise to scrub your skin when washing it off? ive read about scrapping but did not know if this is recommended or will cause spreading or open wounds?

No, you should not scrubbing the skin after treating scabies with permethrin. After 8 to 14 hours, fully wash cream from skin using warm, soapy water. Good luck with your treatment.

Do NOL scrub off the permethrin under any circumstances. Just gently wash off . I would also strongly suggest that you leave the product on your skin for a full 24 hrs to avoid any chance for recurrences and treatment failure as well as treating simultaneous any close family contacts.
