I have ankylosing spondylitis, multiple spine surgeries with hardware and hashimoto thyroid disease. i have pain sleep issues. doctor now wants me to use hydroxyzine and flexeril to get to sleep and stay asleep can i do this long term?

Both these medications can cause drowsiness & additive effects of the 2 can be significant. I think this could be problematic in your operating a motor vehicle or operating machinery the next day. I assume you don't climb ladders. Do you think the muscle relaxation provided by flexeril alone will be sufficient to help you sleep?
