I have been diagnosed with a 9mm kidney stone in the lower quadrant of my right kidney. i have no symptoms and stone was discovered after an mri..what are my options ? is this something that can just be ignored if i have no symptoms?

Stone in the lower pole is not as risky as in the upper pole but it should not be neglected. You should be evaluated by a urologist. Good luck.

Incidentally discovered kidney stones can either be treated or observed depending on many factors. If there is no obvious cause on investigation then it can be followed up periodically. It should definitely not be ignored. Dont forget to drink water. Good luck
