A member asked:

Had a ct scan recently for a kidney stone, they did find a stone but also noted mildly enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes in the lower right quadrant 1.6cm x 0.7cm is this cause for concern? what could cause this? is this abnormal ? also have pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All laboratory/imaging results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the nodes are not large enough to be of immediate concern, but your doctor may wish to monitor that. The nodes may be reactive to stone. Wish you good health!
