Is it possible to continually make kidney stones without it being detected in a ct scan? is an mri of the kidney necessary?

MRI: is not good for detecting kidney stones. CT is the most sensitive imaging modality. If the CT is performed utilizing a special renal stone protocol, only the smallest(less than 1 mm or so) stones might not be visualized.
