Achilles tendinopathy should be included in the differential diagnosis because you have too much pain for an Achilles ganglion cyst. You can apply cold compress and take ibuprofen OTC if you do not have problem with stomach or kidneys. More than 50% of ganglion cyst will resolve spontaneously, some needs to be removed. You should be referred to a podiatrist. Good luck.
