My pelvic us showed a simple cyst on ovary & a 0.9x0.3cm echogenic lobulated mass, likely representing endometrial polyp vs. intracavitary fibroid with trace free fluid. is it possible the polyp is cancerous? my pcp ordered a stat referral gynecology?

"Fibroids" or polyps are rarely malignant, but may cause intermittent bleeding. A GYN physician can provide guidance, and may recommend surgical removal and biopsy. A "simple" ovarian cyst, as opposed to a complex one will usually resolve on its own.

The diagnosis of cancer requires a biopsy. Let your Gyn decide the next step. Good luck
