I'm on a trial going off bp med Valsartan 40mg to see if CPAP alone can keep my bp in normal range, I have mild sleep apnea. The only dilemma when I get sick I can't use the CPAP for a week or so, is it possible to resume ARB as needed?
Valsartan is FDA approved for adult hypertension @ 80mg & above but my dose was lowered to 40mg for past few months and bp is around 118/75 (was 107/65 with 80mg). Do I still need bp meds? Recently started CPAP for mild sleep apnea. Also lost 12lb?
