How long does it take to see the swelling in my ankles to get back in control after stopping nifedipine? will it go down even if im still having to take labetalol with my generic benicar? whats another good option for labetalol? sorry for my qts?

It may take days (5-7 days) for the edema to resolve if nifedipine is the cause but you should see certain improvement within 3 days. If edema does not resolve beyond one week then other causes of leg edema should be entertained. Labetalol is a non-cardioseletive beta blocker and it can be replaced by carvedilol, propranolol LA, etc. Good luck.
