My lactoferrin level is 23. can this be from ibs or could this be from colon cancer? i dont have liquid diarrhea but go back and forth between constipation and soft/fluffy but formed stool? im having a colonoscopy & endoscopy soon but very scared?

High lactoferrin is consistent with inflammatory bowel disease (infection or inflammation) than IBS and it has never been used as a marker for colon cancer. You should not worry, just wait for the colonoscopy. Good luck with the procedure.
