I'm constantly worried if i will develop schitzophrenia or any other mental disease. i was sick for a year and got diagnosed with brief psychosis but i don't know if it was the right diagnosis? how do i know if it's chronic or transient?

If you are under care of a psychiatrist she/he will be the best person to ask. If you dont have one pl get one. Good luck

The best person to diagnose whether this is transient or chronic is your Psychiatrist. If you are not confident in your Psychiatrist please see another for a second opinion. If medication is prescribed it is advisable to receive Psychotherapy from a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in multiple types of psychotherapy along with your medication.
