Schizoprhenia : The term Dementia Praecox was coined by Kraepelin in 1883 and referred to “early dementia”. He believed that what we now call Schizophrenia was a form of early dementia or brain deterioration (prior to old age). Schizophrenia & Dementia are two different conditions.
