A stress test places increasing work demand on the heart in a monitored setting. The monitors look for signs the heart muscle is developing signs that indicate a lack of adequate blood flow to maintain the increasing needs of the heart. The cath involves injecting a material that can show the blood vessels supplying the heart & whether and how much they may be blocked. Don't run a marathon.
