Could mean...: "Cardiomegaly" and a heart rate rising too quickly with exercise could mean that you have a dilated cardiomyopathy, a process whereby the heart muscle has weakened and then enlarged. Such cases will exhibit rapid rises in heart rate with minimal activity. Best thing is to get it checked out with an echocardiogram, an ultrasound study of the heart that confirms or refutes heart enlargement
