What does mild neurophilic infiltrates with reactive and reparative changes mean on a pathology report for gastritis? no dysplasia or malignancy or intestinal mestpysia . diagnosed with acute erosive gastritis . can this be cured? no h-pylori?

Neutrophilic activities indicate inflammation. No malignancy, dysplasia & metaplasia are reassuring. The gastroenterologist will institute intensive treatment for a month.or so & then may rescope you or not. In addition to proper diet, abstain from alcohol,excess caffeine, aspirin,anti-inflammatory meds like advil,naproxen.

That is a typical pathology description of acute gastritis. It should be completely healed with appropriate treatment and there is no need for H. pylori treatment. Acute gastritis in this case could be due to bacterial (not H pylori) or viral infection, drug related (ASA or NSAID), high acid state under stress or other acute illness, etc. so the treatment varies according the etiology.
