A member asked:

An 80 old neighbour had fall, broke neck. i heard him shouting help but i didn't go outside to phone a ambulance until 30 mins later. he was walked by paramedic. he died from a severed cervical spinal cord. am i partially responsible for his death?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If your neighbor walked erect without a neck brace and suffered an unstable cervical spine secondary to the fracture, would assess that situation to contribute to his demise? Cannot see why you would be responsible.
